It pains me to write this review for Greg Russo, but am because I am very disappointed in his lack of honesty and integrity. If I can save even 1 person from being scammed, like he was trying to do to me, it is worth it. I sent my vehicle to Greg for him to put a new starter in as it was showing signs to failure. At the same time I asked him to do a rear differential service (drain, clean, and refill) as the shop I usually take my vehicle to said the bolt was frozen on there and they didn't want to strip it while getting it off without a replacement on hand. Greg returned my vehicle to me and told me the starter and differential was complete. He then went on to adamantly tell me my vehicle was 2WD and not AWD. I was seriously baffled, but he was so adamant with was he was saying, I just let it be. On my way home, I stopped at my usual shop and told them what was just communicated to me. They threw my truck up on the rack and told me that I for sure had an AWD vehicle (which I already knew). They also pointed out that it would be hard to believe someone would not have known this if they just serviced he rear differential. I asked them to go ahead and service it right then and there. They did found that it had not be done like Greg said. The gear oil was low, dirty, and had metal flakes in it. When confronted with this, Greg became very hostile and kept yelling 'are you serious' and kept talking about this new blue bolt that was put on there. After back and forth, we parted ways and I only paid him for the work that he did - the starter. I still couldn't figure out why he would keep talking about a new bolt, but didn't address the condition of the fluid that he supposedly had replaced. Upon thinking about it, he was just continuing on with the scam ... you see there's a new bolt, that must mean I did the full service. WRONG! Greg Russo is a liar and a scammer and I will never take my car to him for anything ever again. I never would have even questioned the service had he not told me 4 different times, vehemently, that my truck was a 2WD. Shame on you!

Greg Russo is my go to guy when my car gets a major boo boo. My car is a pearl color and I never paid attention to the detail a three stage paint requires until I came here. Now that I know the difference.. it is hard for me to go elsewhere as there is a difference! South City Auto Detailing is a specialist in detailing vintage vehicles. Some of the cars I saw in the shop were cherry! When I see the work they do, I am tempted to buy a project. If you love your car like I do... get into a car accident... and need an auto body repair shop... this is the place to go.
South City in San Bruno wanted $150 when I got there after telling me 'from $50 and up' over the phone for simple cabin floor & upholstery shampooing. My car was not that heavily soiled since I don't have kids and clean it regularly, but he seemed upset about having to vacuum up dog hair, which I easily vacuum at the shell station every month for $3, so I don't know what his deal was. I took my car to Touchless in Foster City and for $80 & got great, quick service. Glad I didn't go to South City!
