Dorian at Burdick Mazda was attentive and super helpful in trying to get a very specific used car to me in my price range. He was flexible in helping me on my schedule as I lived in Watertown area, and dutifully got the keys as he let me test drive 7 or 8 vehicles. Since my trade in was mechanically unreliable, he scheduled a paperwork time a couple of days after I finally selected a car. Due to clerical errors, paperwork took a very long time and still had errors at signing time, but were worked out at the end of my scheduled day. I would likely buy there again, just not on a super busy holiday weekend.
Kayla at Driver's Village was fantastic! She was very helpful and spent a great deal of time with us while we checked out the vehicles. She was brave enough to take us on multiple test drives in the middle of a blizzard. Ultimately I found the car I wanted, and I couldn't be happier with it. Overall I had a great experience at Driver's Village. I would recommend the dealership and Kayla to anyone looking for a new vehicle.
I recently purchased a new VW Atlas from this dealership and had a great experience. A special shout-out to Ian and Zack, who were both a pleasure to work with. Ian, our salesperson, was professional, personable, and attentive to our needs. He listened to what we were looking for and worked hard to make the process smooth and rewarding. Zack, our finance manager, was equally impressive. He had a calm, non-pushy approach that made the financing process comfortable and straightforward. Overall, I highly recommend Burdick VW. If you’re in the market for an Atlas, ask for Ian and Zack — you’ll be glad you did.
Do yourself a favor and just don’t. Don’t deal with these crooks. Don’t get your hopes up of getting any kind of “deal” on a vehicle. Don’t waste your time. After about 30 minutes of looking at the car I was convinced I wanted to buy, I had to go find a salesperson at the desk where they were all busy socializing. Which they made it seem like I was inconveniencing them. The person that helped me was nice enough to start, although not very knowledgeable, which I’ll get into later. I started the conversation with “I want to buy that car over there”, so I’m trying to figure out how they weren’t able to make a deal with someone that was ready to buy. The car was over market value according to multiple websites. I asked if they could bring the price down to even the high end of the “good” deal range. Their response “Our bank values this car at $40k and won’t let us sell it any cheaper”. They took maybe $200 off the price of the car but it was still $1.5k overpriced. The trade-in price they offered me was an insult. The median trade-in value of my car on KBB was $32k if it were in “fair” condition, which it’s not. My car is in at least “good” to “very good” condition based on KBB’s description. They would not negotiate on that at all even after I told them these things. When they couldn’t get me to agree to a loan, the high-pressure sales tactics started coming out. “You won’t find this car, with these low miles, at a better price, within 250 miles.” I had been looking at cars for a year leading up to me walking into this dealership, and knew that was a lie. My only reason for going to them was that it was the closest, but there are still plenty within 100 miles for sale at reasonable prices. I told the salesperson no less than 3 times that I don’t want an extended warranty on a vehicle that has the remaining manufacturer’s warranty on all of the expensive to fix things like the powertrain. When he offered the extended warranty a fourth time, even took $1000 off it, I got frustrated and decided to walk. “We don’t like to see our customers walk out of here without being protected, we don’t make any commission or anything for selling extended warranties”. If that were the case, why were they pushing it so hard? If it’s all the same to them and I said multiple times I don’t want it, why keep offering it unless you make some money on it. The whole experience with this place just screamed “sleazy car dealership”. From the intentionally misleading information, to the outright lies, topped off with the traditional high-pressure sales tactics, this place should be avoided at all costs. Of course all they’re going to show you is your monthly payment at X.X% interest rate, and it’ll seem like a good deal because you’re paying less per month, but they don’t make money on the interest you pay the bank, they make money on overcharging for vehicles and undervaluing trade-ins. Which if you know anything about cars, you know that you pay taxes on the difference between the car you’re buying at the one you’re trading in, so they’re costing you even more money that will have to be financed. This place had the audacity to contact me two days later and say they found me a great interest rate that would get my payments down even more per month. I responded with the information I’ve shared above, and a stern “you had better not still be running my credit”. Their response to all of that, and this is a direct quote I got from the text, “Please find another dealership to work with, thank you for your time I apologize for the inconvenience”. So take mine and the dealer’s own advice, find another dealership to purchase a vehicle from.
Purchased a 2024 VW Golf R a few weeks ago. The experience was fantastic and couldn’t have gone any smoother. My salesman Jacob was knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. He was there every step of the buying process and I will definitely be doing business with him again.
